Project origin

This 1950 Plymouth was bought by Ben Moore together with another additional parts car from a friend in Nampa Idaho. All paperwork is availiable and is properly documented as well as the new vin for the completed project. The cars were outside in decent condition for most their lives, rust and damage was minimal. The inital teardown was completed at Ben's shop before it was delivered to Chandlers auto restoration shop. Extensive photos and detailed descriptions of the teardown and build are available upon request. Ben took excellent notes and tons of pictures at EVERY stage!

Completion

As you can see lots of planning and preparation was put into every stage of the build. The car was fitted with a custom chassis from Art Morrison. This included the set up for the independant front suspention and 4 - link rear axle assembly. The finished car was always in mind during the build, the goal was a safe, enjoyable, fun one of a kind street rod that was tasteful and smooth with lots of character. The drivetrain was taken from a Ram truck along with any small parts needed, this provided a great powerplant and rock solid transmission. Lots of research was done to put the best available parts and accessories on this car.

Sale

Reason for selling - Ben lost his fight with cancer after battling for 3 years. Unfortunately he was unable to drive the finished car. We would like the car to go to someone who will enjoy it as much as he did building it!
